This new system allows you to run Local Scraper via command line sending your scrape details along as arguments. The scraper will then open and run your scrape and if you included the new auto-close setting the program will automatically close its self at the end of the project as well for a neat finish. This means that you can have your Ai Agents such as OpenClaw and Hermes can now run Local Scraper for you via the terminal without needing to interact with the program UI. You can also use automation scripting to have other programs or scripts run Local Scraper in the same way. For example you could make a python script that ran on a schedule and every day ran the same scrape to monitor changes.

If you wanted to further integrate this into your Ai or automation system you can use the new Webhook option in the Tools tab of the program. This web hook will send a JSON summary of the completed scrape job as POST data to the URL you specify. You can post it to a local service for your Ai Agents or to a online service such as n8n or Zapier to report back that the project has completed. The JSON data includes all settings used by the program for this scrape so you can keep track of all of your project details along with the file names of the completed scrapes and their save locations. Meaning once the project has completed it will POST the summary and then your automation can either start the next project or it can interact with the saved files via their location.

We are really excited to see how our customers use these new features and are already using them in house for some interesting projects. No longer will you need your Ai agent to waste time and money trying doing the scraping, let Local Scraper do its job and then let your automations take it from there. Full details about the Webhook and Command Line Arguments are now on the ReadMe page for customers so feel free to check them out and explore what the new systems can do.

As of Local Scraper 1.93+ we have added a CLI Argument and JSON Webhook system into Local Scraper to keep things modernized and to follow the trends of Ai Agents and Automations.
